Emotional Infidelity Book

What is this about emotional cheating I read about so much lately?

Is there something I should know after all my years of experience in relationship?

Now I see the justification of cheating is “emotional” cheating, as if by naming the act emotional is going to make it less offensive and wrong.

Cheating is cheating no matter which way you put it. Some people might want to justify the infidelity by claiming the spouse cheated because of lack of attention, lack of sex, boredom, you name it.

My spouse cheats on me, I call it adultery. In my book is a violation of my trust for him, and acting without taking into consideration the consequences.

I find it very healthy to call things by its real name and will never justify such despicable act.
I repeat my question, “what is this about emotional cheating…..?”

An emotional affair can happen without the two involved even realizing it until it’s too late. Because there’s no sex involved, they think that they’re doing nothing wrong. But if you look deeper, they are hiding or lying to their partner about the amount of time that they spend with their friend, and they share intimate details of their lives with their friend and slowly withdraw from their partner. Their friend in on their mind more and more, and the desire for the friendship to become physical builds until it finally does, or the emotional affair finally ends. It is a form Of Infidelity, in my opinion.

    I have been in this situation with my sons father! Thats how i caught him cheating and Yes i called her and it was so hard and it really hurt me but it made me realize what a pig he was and i moved on for my son and i and i couldnt be happier! Good Luck
