Why do I need to know the truth behind the infidelity with my ex fiance???
Nearly 2 years ago I ended things with my fiance. He is the father of my son (but you would never knew he had a child since he started dating his barely legal girlfriend) so, unfortunatly, I am tied to him for the rest of my life. I have absolutly no feelings for him and couldn’t be happier that I am not with him anymore.
Why do I feel the need to get answers from him? Why do I need him to tell me everything I didn’t know about our relationship? The current girlfriend is why I ended things in the first place. I feel the need to get answes now before I have to face them when we go home for Christmas.
HELP?!?!
The feeling you have is closure. That is what you want. You want to know why things happened like that, how he could cheat, what went wrong, what could of been done to prevent it. You just want what you are entitled to, an answer. Learning how things digressed could help you later in life as well. You will learn from this mistake, and know what to look for in a partner and relationship. He hurt you, and that is the only thing you know for sure, because you felt it. My advice to you, is to (if he is willing) just sit down and go over what happened. When a break-up occurs, things move really fast. It is hard to slow down and digest what is going down. Think of it in a time line. Look at every event, one at a time decipher what happened. If he is open to communication, that is the best way. As Marvin Gaye said “Talk to me so you can see whats going on…”. Best luck, I hope it works out.
