Besides infidelity and financial irresponsibility, what action classifies as a divorceable action?
If I come home with a tattoo on my face would my wife be justified in divorcing me?
nope. but if you get arrested and go to jail, she can divorce you. if you refuse sexual relations for a year or more, its considered abandonment. also, if you move out for a year or more, its considered abandonment. also, if you hit her, or she hits you…. ummm also emotional abuse, destructive behavior towards her. drug abuse can be considered emotional abuse
different states have different laws and timelines… in NY the standard for separation or abandonment is a year. also, most states no longer have “irreconsilable differences”. i guess it was an easy out for people
